With the world turning towards Islamic finance, the Awards continue to attract greater industry attention and a growing audience.
“These Awards are recognized as one of the most prestigious Awards Programmes within the global financial industry, and have continued to set the standards for exceptional Islamic financial institutions and experts worldwide,” says Dominic De Sousa, Chairman of CPI Financial.
Islamic finance has proved to be a vital financial sector worldwide. Currently, more and more countries are adopting Islamic finance as they are recognizing the advantages and positive results reaped throughout Asia and the GCC.
“Worldwide figures show the Islamic banking and financial industry is a steady and secure finance sector that continues to rise. With the global industry growing by 15%-20% over the past ten years, Islamic assets are now worth around US$1 trillion,” says Robin Amlôt, Managing Editor of CPI Financial.
Shortlists for the various Shari’ah-compliant banks and financial institutions have been compiled by a carefully selected panel of international judges comprised of past awards winners, industry observers and analysts. The Awards ceremony will not only rate worldwide Islamic finance organizations, but will also honour exceptional individuals with ‘write-in’ awards selected by the voters for ‘Outstanding Contribution to the Industry, ‘Islamic Banker of the Year’ and ‘Lifetime Achievement’.
Following analysis of the voting results from the readers of Islamic Business & Finance magazine, the final winners will be announced at the 21st December gala dinner taking place at the Emirates Towers Hotel in Dubai.
